Cori Anderson is an innovative and creative professional driven by a deep commitment to collaboration and engagement. Cori brings Summit over 15 years of experience in the higher education and nonprofit sectors including roles that involved consulting, community-engaged learning, event programming, grant writing, mentorship, outreach and marketing. Prior to joining Summit, Cori served as a search consultant with Lindauer Global where she supported searches for academic and administrative leadership, with specialized knowledge of institutional advancement and fund raising.

 Cori’s leadership style is characterized by responsive, reciprocal dialogue; a dedication to mission-oriented work; and the ability to deftly navigate social and interpersonal dynamics. Cori excels at connecting people and ideas, incorporating multiple perspectives to ensure consensus, and working behind the scenes to guide organizations to talent who will help achieve their goals.

Cori worked for 14 years at the University of North Carolina – Asheville.  As the Associate Director of Cultural Events and Engaged Citizenship, her work within the wider Asheville and North Carolina communities involved coordinating faculty and student involvement in arts programming, curricular connections, and community events.

A background in art and photography has deeply influenced Cori’s approach to the recruitment process. Seeing art as a bridge to cultivating authentic relationships, she utilizes a range of creative methods to foster dialogue and understanding. Furthermore, her international work in Central America and involvement in Indigenous programming highlight her expertise in cross-cultural communication and advocacy. Cori’s ability to connect with clients and her unique blend of creative, operational, and interpersonal skills make her an invaluable asset to the talent search process.

Cori Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from the University of North Carolina, Asheville, and also attended the College of Charleston and Loyola University New Orleans.
