Well-regarded by clients because of her strong relationship-building skills and assessment skills, Beth manages searches utilizing a variety of research and sourcing strategies. She is particularly talented at helping individuals and teams work efficiently – focusing on their most critical issues and working to reach their strategic goals. Her experience with human resources dates back to 1987, and she has been a member of Summit Search since 2009.
She has successfully filled numerous senior management positions, specialized administrative roles, and academic positions in educational institutions as well as nonprofit organizations. Prior to this role, Beth spent ten years in human resources in the corporate sector focused on staffing, college recruiting, employee counseling/consulting, and managing a staff of HR specialists. Her strong relationship and communication skills make her a natural contributor to any assessment process.
She enjoys the process of working with the people on both sides of the search equation to deeply understand who they are and what they need, and then matching up clients with the right candidates in a way that benefits everyone.
Beth has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University. She is based in Asheville, NC.
In her free time, Beth enjoys spending her time outside – either on her small homestead where she gardens, or hiking somewhere in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or at an arts or music festival. She has a broad interest in wellness practices, painting, cooking healthy food, exercising and meditation. All of these activities are things she enjoys with her two teenagers and her dog.
