Dr. Tamara Rozhon has 30 years of experience in higher education including 20 years as a senior administrator. Her experience includes operations and budget management, academic governance and board relations, marketing and enrollment management. Tamara is also adept at program development including online, international partnership development, accreditation, and government relations.
Throughout Tamara’s career, her passion has been assembling and leading successful teams. She pursued this passion in part by recruiting and developing employees that not only had the skills and experience to do a job, but who also fit the culture, mission, and goals of a particular institution.
She has worked directly with trustees to facilitate the creation and execution of strategic plans, to identify and recruit presidents and other senior leaders, and to manage significant organizational change efforts. She has a deep appreciation for the role of the faculty and the norms and traditions of academic governance, and recognizes that those norms and traditions vary by institution. She has worked in not- for-profit and for-profit education.
Tamara has recently decided to pursue her passion for higher education from another angle – assisting colleges and universities in finding talent. The ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent is essential as the landscape of higher education continues to change at an unprecedented rate.
Tamara earned her EdD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, her Master of Adult Education from National Louis University, and her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Journalism from Northern Illinois University. Tamara grew up in the Chicago area and loves to vacation in the mountains of Western North Carolina and along the California coast. In her free time, Tamara enjoys yoga, podcasts, hiking, reading historical fiction, and spending time with her family in Phoenix, AZ where they have lived since 2011.
